QUIZ: Kostis Palamas's Ode...

This week's quiz is again "borrowed" from Greek daily Ta Nea:

For the death of which writer did Greek poet Kostis Palamas write an Ode?

Hint: The writer was an influential playwright, the pioneer of modern realistic drama, whose work is regularly performed around the world today.

Ok, I'll stay quiet for a while and let someone else take a shot. It took me three false guesses to come to the right one. But then, it seems the world of the literarily minded has always been expansive.

So, how did you go with this one? Was your third guess the right one? Do you happen to have a book of Palamas's poems handy? My partner doesn't seem to have a copy on his bookshelf!

I actually did manage to get it, even though I do not own Palamas's book. Your clue was good enough, about being the father of modern realism. But now that you've introduced me to Palamas, I shall try and find a copy of his works.
